SRINAGAR: Acting tough against violators of prohibitory orders issued by Government, Police arrested 42 persons including five shopkeepers for violating orders.
In jurisdiction of PS Rajbagh, police arrested 10 persons at Kursu Rajbagh for violating Govt orders. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 27/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Rajbagh and investigation has been initiated.
Meanwhile, in jurisdiction of PS Sadder, police has arrested five shopkeepers for violating prohibitory orders. Accordingly, cases vide FIR numbers 55/2020, 56/2020, 57/2020, 58/2020 and 59/2020 under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Sadder and further investigation has been initiated.
Similarly, Ganderbal Police has arrested three persons for violating government orders.
In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 64/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Ganderbal.
Handwara Police have also arrested 24 persons and seized two vehicles for defying government orders. Police booked four persons who were found violating orders imposed by District Magistrate U/s 144 CrPC. A case vide FIR No 103/20 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Handwara and further investigation in the case has been initiated.
In the jurisdiction of Police Station Qalamabad, eight persons have been arrested and a vehicle has also been seized by Police for defying the Govt orders.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 20/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Qalambad.
Similarly, in jurisdiction of Police Station Vilgam, Police arrested 12 persons and seized a vehicle for violating orders imposed under Section 144 Cr PC. A case vide FIR No. 21/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Vilgam and investigation has initiated.
Police has requested the general public to follow the restrictions imposed by Government in order to prevent spread of deadly coronavirus as all those violating the restrictions would be dealt strictly.
