RAMBAN: Police on Sunday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 5 bovines and arresting a smuggler.
As per the details, a reliable information was developed by party of Police Station Gool that one person namely Gh Hussain, son of Ali Mohd Gujjar, resident of Duksar Dalwah Tehsil Gool, District Ramban, is transporting 5 bovines at Dachan Gali Gool towards Kashmir on foot without any valid permission of DM.
On this, police rushed to the spot and arrested the smuggler. A case vide FIR No 30/2020 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PC Act was registered against him at Police Station Gool and further investigation started.
The arrest was made by SHO Gool Inspector Naeem Matoo under the supervision of SDPO Gool Pardeep Kumar, Addl SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Haseeb Ur Rahman.
