JAMMU: Adbi Kunj held a special meet on the International Women’s Day in which prominent poets and writers of state participated.

The meet was presided over by Hindi and Kashmiri poetess Santosh Shah Nadan while another reputed Urdu and Kashmiri poetess Fozia Mougal Zia was the Chief Guest while Dogri poetess Neelam Verma conducted the proceedings.

Sham Talib, President of the Organisation, threw light on the various aspects of the women’s day.

In the prose session, the presentations included Aourat-Aour-Aansoon (Urdu) recited by Fozia Mougal Zia; Nari-Tere-Kitne-Roop (Hindi) by Santosh Shah Nadan; Meri-Maa-Te-Main (Dogri) by Neelam Verma whereas in the composite poetic roundup various poetess and poets recited their poems and songs on women’s day in different languages.

Other poets and literary personalities that took part in the meet included Santosh Sangra, Dr. Raj Kumari Sehgal, Aarash Om Dalmotra, K.L Deewana, Ved Uppal, Sanjeev Kumar, M. Adris Shad, Rajeev Kumar, M.S Kamra, Romesh Rahi, Maharaj Krishan, O.P Shakir, Shahid Iqbal Kosar, Rajeshwar Bhakhari, Taiyab Bharti, Raghunandan Kohli, Raj Kamal, Bishan Dass Khak, Abdul Jabar Butt, Ch. Manzoor Badana, Raj Kumar Uttam and Sham Talib.

Sham Talib also announced that Waryam Samrat Films Mumbai is going to release a Dogri Musical Cassette ‘Tarey Jaiyan’ of noted musician singer and song writer Waryam Samrat on 12th March, 2015 at 11:00 AM at K.L Sehgal Hall of Cultural Academy Jammu.
