Dear Editor,
The gruesome act of killing of our jawans, committed allegedly by Pakistani troops, was an act of extreme
savagery and barbarism. Having coming out of its ‘silence mode’, India now believes in retaliatory action. That its condemnation is not empty rhetoric was demonstrated last year through surgical strikes across the Line of Control. We hope the sacrifice of these soldiers, who died in service of the nation, does not go in vain and that our forces show determination in avenging the deaths.
