JAMMU: Slamming Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed for releasing hardcore separatist leader Masarat Alam and for his remarks that Pakistan and militant groups had made the atmosphere conducive for elections in the State, Shri Ram Sena State Chief, Rajiv Mahajan asked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to clear its stand with regard to alliance with PDP after Mufti’s anti-India posture.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Rajiv Mahajan said since the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed took oath as Chief Minister of the State, separatist leaders have become very active posing threat to the peace and integrity of the country.

“The unfortunate decisions of Mufti about praising Pakistan, separatists and now releasing hardcore separatist are attempts to appease the pro-Pakistan and separatist forces, besides militants in the Kashmir Valley,” he added.

“BJP tied knot with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with an assurance of good governance in the State but the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s  controversial decisions are posing serious threat to the integrity of the country and the national security which is against the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions” Rajiv maintained.

Rajiv said that it is evident from the present Assembly results that people of Jammu Division are with the national stream so have voted for BJP while on the contrary, the people of Kashmir Division have given their clear mandate to Kashmir centric parties including PDP.

“BJP’s silence over the controversial anti-national statement of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed followed by the release of separatist leader Masarat Alam has put down its image in Jammu region,” he said.

Mahajan further said that to end the trouble once and for all, it is better to split the State into three parts viz Jammu State, Kashmir State and Ladakh as Union Territory.

Rajiv asked BJP to break the alliance with PDP, if Mufti Mohammad did not agree to re-arrest Masarat Alam, in view of the mandate given by people of Jammu region who hoped that BJP will free them from the slavery and the yoke of Kashmir centric politicians.
