SRINAGAR:  In view of the forecast made by Metrological Department, District Administration Srinagar has made all preparatory contingency arrangements to facilitate people.

As per communiqué of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, the people can contact joint Control Room established at Police Control Room Srinagar for any flood related information on Phone No. (0194-2474040), (0194-2452138) and (0194-24509464).

The District Administration has established 42 rescue/relief operation camps at different locations.

Regarding availability of essential commodities, the communiqué reveals that 31,32,600 quintals of rice, 19,000 quintals of sugar, 16600 quintals of Atta, 16,93,400 quintals of wheat are available at different outlets of CAPD besides 71,314 LPG cylinders and 18,514 cylinders of packed Chl.

It was further informed that as many as 3,900 tents, 6,000 blankets and 900 hand torches are available with District Administration.

The District Administration has also kept 217 trucks and buses at various Police Stations and Relief Camping locations.

As per details, 15 trucks have been kept available at various Police Stations of Srinagar district while 182 trucks at CAPD department Kashmir, 10 trucks at Police Control Room, four trucks at other departments besides three buses each at relief camping location Sanat Nagar and EDI Pampore.
