RAMBAN: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan on Tuesday launched a website to register volunteers to mitigate the shortage of manpower in coming days keeping in view Government may require more number of people who can help to fight against this disaster of COVID-19.
Pertinent to mention here that administration has taken this novel initiative for ensuring better coordination among various departments besides mitigating the difficulties of the general public caused by the ongoing lockdown following the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking on the occasion DDC said that website has been created by the NIC team lead by DIO, NIC, Naveen aims at facilitating all those volunteers who wish to get themselves registered for carrying out the philanthropic social work like distributing food grains, other essential commodities and other sort of help to the needy persons.
District administration Ramban is taking all necessary steps to ensure that we are well prepared to face the challenge and threat posed by the growing pandemic, he added.
He further said that this website would help in easy registration of these volunteers and smooth monitoring of their activities besides the cooperation of the district administration to them. He appealed to the persons who desire to volunteer his / her service for helping the people of the district fight against the spread of Coronavirus to register their self by using this website.
