SRINAGAR: Police on Saturday arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
According to reports, on receiving an input regarding possession of drugs, police conducted a raid in a residential house located at Pushwari Naidkhai area of Bandipora District.
During search of the house, police recovered 65 Kg of Charas powder from the possession of an individual identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar, resident of Pushwari Naidkhai. He was arrested and shifted to Police Station Sumbal where he remained under custody. A case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Sumbal and investigation into the matter has been initiated.
