LEH: Mumtaz Hussain, Executive Councilor (Minority), LAHDC Leh along with President Anjuman-e-Imamiya called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R K Mathur here on Tuesday.
The visiting delegation submitted a memorandum seeking early evacuation of Iran returned pilgrims, who have completed their mandatory quarantine period in different places in India as well as students, patients and old-aged persons from Ladakh, stuck in different parts of country due to nationwide lockdown.
They requested Lt Governor to evacuate stranded Ladakhi pilgrims and other stuck people on priority considering the rising temperature, food and health-related issues faced by them.
