JAMMU: Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Monday honoured Dr Mohan Singh, Director, Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM) and Dr Rohit Gupta, Incharge Deputy Director as frontline corona warriors by presenting them ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ for their contribution and dedication in the fight against COVID-19.
Kavinder thanked them for always being at the forefront in the valiant battle and performing their duties in true spirit to control the spread of coronavirus during ongoing lockdown.
Kavinder also presented 50 PPE Kits to Srikant Suse, SDM South and Vinay Sharma, SP South, to be used by personnel who are rendering round the clock service for implementing Government’s directives on ground level for safety of public.
Kavinder said BJP, being the world’s largest party, is making a difference to people’s live during world’s biggest crisis, adding that more than 18 lakh BJP Karyakartas are serving people, across 916 districts of India, from all strata of society tirelessly. The workers, on daily basis, are distributing food packets, dry ration, medicines, ration kits and other items among needy across the country, he said. More than 90,000 dedicated workers are serving sick/elderly round the clock, he asserted, adding that in Jammu too, we are preparing list of all such person who need round the clock help.
Meanwhile, Kavinder continued with distribution of ration and food among poor who are struggling due to lockdown in ward No 58. The distribution of ration was organised by ward team and volunteers in presence of Vinay Gupta, Narinder Koki, Tirath Kour Councillor, Paramjit Singh besides other eminent persons of the locality.
Kavinder congratulated Vinay Gupta and his team of District Jammu for reaching out to nearly 4,750 families besides distributing groceries and other items among them.
