JAMMU: Minister of State for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Abdul Majid Padder has said that out of the 36 filtration plants in Ramnagar constituency, 14 are functional, 14 are partially functional and 8 are under execution.

Replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Ranbir Singh Pathania in LA here on Wednesday, the minister said that with regard to partially functional filtration plants, filter media in these plants needs to be changed as these are old. He said accordingly, DPRs for upgradation of these filtration plants have been formulated for an amount of Rs. 49 lakh and the same is under technical scrutiny. He said work shall be taken up in hand during next financial year after sanction and release of funds.

The minister further informed that as regards to the tanker service, one tanker for Ramnagar is available in the division which is deployed during summer season and the same runs during peak demand period in the areas of Ramnagar and Majalta.
