JAMMU: Various Sikh organisations of J&K discussed numerous issues confronting general public during lockdown, which has been extended up to 3 May 2020 to contain the spread of coronavirus. The central committee of the Sikh Organisations appealed to public in general and Sikh community in particular to follow the lockdown in letter and spirit.
The Sikh organisations appealed to the administration to provide essential commodities to working class, who were working as labourers and have lost their livelihood due to lockdown.
The Sikh organisations appealed to owners of private companies, agencies, shopping-malls, shops and other institutions to pay salaries of workers, working with them on compassionate grounds. They also requested to the Lt Governor to supply free ratio to all people below poverty line.
