JAMMU: The Principal District & Sessions Judge, Jammu, Sanjeev Gupta on Sunday nominated four District & Sessions Judges for taking up bail/remand at Sessions Judges level and other exceptionally urgent Civil/Criminal matters from May 4 to 17, 2020 at their respective residences through virtual mode. As per the order, Friday, Yashpaul Kotwal, 1st Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Jammu to take matter from May 4 to 7, 2020; Tahir Khurshid Raina, Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Jammu from May 8 to 11, 2020; Sunit Gupta, 3rd Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Jammu from May 12 to 14, 2020; and Virinder Singh Bhou, 2nd Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Jammu to take up matter from May 15 to 17, 2020.
Similarly four Judicial Officers have been nominated for taking up bail/remand and other exceptionally urgent Civil/Criminal matters from May 4 to 17, 2020 at their respective residences through virtual mode.
Prem Sagar, City Judge, Jammu to take up matter from May 4 to 7, 2020; Sandeep Gandotra, Special Mobile Magistrate, Passenger Tax, Jammu from May 8 to 11, 2020; Preet Simran Kour, Munsiff, Jammu from May 12 to 14, 2020; and Parvaiz Iqbal, Special Railway Magistrate, Jammu from May 15 to 17, 2020.
“Judicial Officers of Muffasil Courts within their respective jurisdictions shall perform the urgent business of hearing of remand/bail and urgent criminal/civil matters; and Traffic Magistrates shall deal with urgent matters with respect to the release of seized vehicles under MV Act, at their respective residences through virtual mode,” the order stated and added, “The concerned judicial officer on duty shall forward the pending applications to the next nominated judicial officer, in case the application is not decided during the duty days assigned.”
“These instructions shall remain in force till May 17, 2020 and shall be subject to further orders/modifications, whenever required,” it added.
