JAMMU: Sports, Athletics, Yoga, multitudinal games nowadays have become pre-requisite for students all around & harmonious development which is the sine-qua-non of education.
Today the precincts of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu were filled with exhilaration & exuberance on the occasion of National Sports Day. The event was witnessed in the benign presence of Kuldeep Handoo (Indian Wushu Coach) who graced the occasion as Chief Guest, Bhanu Pratap (Asian Gold medalist), Ashi Jamwal (National Wushu Player) Rohini Aima, Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson of the school and all the Coordinators.
The event commenced by a welcome song to greet the guests followed by multifarious games like inter-house volleyball championship, tug of war, taekwondo, athletics, yoga, relay race, hurdle race and ended with martial arts demonstration. Wisdom House was declared as the winner of volleyball, Optimism House as the winner of tug of war whereas winners of Taekwondo were boys of Passion House and girls of Harmony House.
Special arrangements were made for the students to view the session “Fit India movement” by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The performances mesmerized all the guests & audience. The efforts of the Sports Department became evident with the success of the function.
Handoo and Bhanu Pratap appreciated the efforts of students and staff in bringing out the best in sports out of Children and congratulated the school for promoting Sports Culture in positive direction.
The culmination of National Sports Day was marked by the words of Rohini Aima, Principal cum vice-Chairperson of the School who said we at Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu are continuously thriving for the preparation of National Champions in the Sports who will definitely bring laurels to the nation.
