JAMMU: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) on Thursday put into service mist blower sprayers to contain spread of COVID-19 at every level.
Giving information in this regard, Baldev Singh Billawaria, Chairman of Health Sanitation Committee JMC, said that the Corporation has ordered 100 mist blowers sprayers from a company in Karnal along with special protection suits to be given to cleaners along with it, but has received only 70 so far for sanitising the city. He said that after successful testing of a mist blower sprayer in corporation premises, Raghunath Bazar and Upper Gumat Bazar were sanitised using 10 mist blower sprayers on first day and now these blowers would be sent to each ward of the city for sanitising the same.
Billawaria further said that special chemicals are used for the spray to eliminate every type of virus.
Councillor Raj Kumar, Anil Masoom, Health Officer Dr Shamim Mir, Veterinary Officer, Dr Zafar Iqbal were also present on the occasion.
