JAMMU: Jammu Province People’s Forum (JPPF) has hailed the government for taking best possible efforts to make lives of people comfortable but still there are many issues still unattended.
In a meeting held here, Pavitar Singh, Retd District and Session Judge and President JPPF said that entire country is reeling under threat of COVID-19 and lockdown has created many problems for general masses. During the meeting, it was decided to assist the government by extending all assistance for any assignments pertaining to COVID-19.
“It is not possible for the Govt/administration alone to handle all issues. Therefore, JPPF has constituted a team of volunteers and requested administration to assign any duty to them so that deprived public could also be provided necessary supplies,” he said.
“It was also decided in the meeting that all precautionary measures/ guidelines issued by the Govt should be followed in true letter and spirit including maintain social distancing, hygiene, sanitisation and cleanliness on regular basis,” he added.
The members who volunteered their services included M S Katoch, Balwan Singh, Charanjeet, Avinash Bhatia, Harjinder Singh, Girdhari Lal, Resham Singh, Pawan Sharma, Pritam Sharma, Gurmeet Singh, Surinder Veer and Vijay Kumar.
