KATRA: The School of Energy Management, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University organised an expert lecture series on various aspects of power transmission i.e. facts of transmission system, ways to reduce energy losses and understanding quality of power supply, smart grid applications, hot line maintenance, disaster management in electric transmission system with particular reference to recent floods in the State of Jammu and Kashmir by K. R Suri, Retd. Gen. Mgr. of Power Grid and consultant to Sterlite Power Grid Ventures.
Suri spoke about challenges of transmission systems in depth and shared his vast experience in transmission system up to 765 kV with M.Tech. (Energy Management) students. The students were exposed to latest techniques being adopted to increase viability of transmission system for comfort of society. He also elaborated upon the latest trends in power transmission and distribution to minimise energy losses.
This expert lecture series was organised to ensure that the students of M Tech. (Energy Management) are exposed to latest techniques being adopted to ensure quality power solutions.
