JAMMU: Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) released a book titled ‘The Position of Inmates in Indian Prison System -A Comparitive Study’ in a function held here.
The book was penned by young lawyer and daughter of Jammu, Advocate Surya Chandan, who is LLM with expertise in Constitution.
On the occasion, Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister was the Chief Guest while Shalinder Singh, SSP Crime Jammu and Sahitya Academy awardee presided over the function. Rohit Chowdhary, social activist was the Special Guest.
Advocate Surya Chandan was conferred with Proud of Duggar Award for propagating and spreading Dogri language, Duggar Art and Culture.
Shalinder Singh congratulated Advocate Surya Chandan for her research oriented, informative and analytical work by way of her book and impressed upon her to give more publications in future as well touching various legal dimensions.
Gulchain Singh Charak appreciated tireless efforts of NDS for promoting Dogri language, its art and culture. Dogra Harish Kaila, President NDS reiterated that the Sanstha will keep on working vigorously for propagating Dogri language. Yash Pal Yash, General Secretary NDS presented vote of thanks.
