Albeit, the move earlier taken by the District administration to degrade Jammu’s status to Red Zone has drawn flak of many on social media platforms but only a day later, the farsightedness of those manning the affairs of Jammu came to light with a corona positive case emerging out from densely populated locality in Ashok Nagar area adjacent to Nai Basti, a commercial hub catering to a large chunk of population visiting the place from nearby peripheral villages besides local customers. It has once again proved that government’s vision is invincible and those professing on WhatsApp and Facebook are at several instances doing a disservice to the society by creating false narratives with no basis at all. In the same context, the night curfew from 7 PM to 7 AM is also a necessary step and should be welcomed by one and all as whatever is being done these days by the government is only for the welfare of the people and nothing else. In the absence of such strict orders it would have become difficult for the cops to check each and every Tom, Dick and Harry’s purpose of roaming outside in the dark of night thus increasing the responsibility of ‘men in khaki’ manifold. Again the difficulties of all including that of daily earners have seen a surge after the start of lockdown 3.0 but then government cannot ignore the threat perspective on account of merciless and evil corona devil as we all know better ‘Jaan Hai Toh Jahan Hai’. Though, at some stage government has come up with a slogan, ‘Jaan Bhi Jahan Bhi’, but the figures after the relaxations during lockdown 3.0 are quite discouraging across the nation and under such circumstances the strictness by J&K administration especially that of Jammu is most convincing and necessary.
