JAMMU: Expressing strong resentment over the proposed move of the State Government to rehabilitate the surrendered militants and unconditional release of prisoners lodged in various jails of Kashmir on various charges, National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) activists held a protest, here on Saturday.
Led by NPSU President Thakur Virender Singh, the students raised slogans against BJP-PDP alliance for promoting the separatist agenda and its total disregard for the issues and concerns of Jammu region.
“The BJP-PDP alliance had initiated the process of rehabilitation of surrendered militants, the West Pakistan refugees issue was totally neglected,” Virender alleged adding that the BJP which had been very void on the issues of grant of state subject rights to West Pakistani refugees, besides giving assurance granting them the right of vote in Assembly and State government jobs, had shamelessly surrendered before PDP for lust of power.
He sought immediate announcement of financial package for PoJK displaced persons besides conferment of State Subject rights to West Pakistani refugees.
Virender further called upon the government to release the selection lists of teachers of various Districts of Jammu region.
Others spoke on the occasion included lovely Singh, Shubam Jasrotia, Bhupinder Singh, Sumit Singh, Shubam Singh, Sourav and Kanu Sharma.
