JAMMU: A number of paramedical employees of Health Department, who have been engaged by the Government on various posts under SRO-384, led by BJP Mahila Morcha President, Rajni Sethi met former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta here on Tuesday.
They discussed various issues being faced by them including non-payment of salaries. The delegation brought to the notice of former Deputy Chief Minister that they had been working in the department from many years and all the engaged employees across the State are working and delivering their services with full dedication. They further alleged that employees of Jammu division were being treated step-motherly as compared to employees of Kashmir division. “The employees, who have completed six years or more of service in Jammu are delivering their duties regularly and their bio-metric attendance is also recorded on daily basis but their salary has not been paid. On the other hand, the counterparts in Kashmir are getting salary on regular basis,” they added.
Rajni Sethi, who was leading the delegation, said that the paramedical employees of Jammu division working on different posts are mainly females and discrimination with Jammu division would not be taken lightly. She urged Gupta to take up matter with the concerned for early redressal of problems faced by the aggrieved employees.
Gupta assured the delegation that the matter would be taken up with the Governor and Union Government as well for resolving their grievances. He further said that NHRM employees, who were on strike, were terminated from services across the State but Kashmir and Ladakh divisional administrations later revoked the order but employees of Jammu division are still in dilemma. Kavinder assured that BJP is a party of masses and always fight for justice to every citizens. He further said that guilty officer in the Governor’s administration should be identified and punished for playing with sentiments of Jammu Division.
