JAMMU: Police on Wednesday arrested one Selection Grade Constable (SGCT) of IRP-11th Bn and recovered 10 grams heroin from his possession.
According to report, a party of Police Station Gandhi Nagar during a Naka at Valmiki Chowk, Gandhi Nagar, intercepted one motor cycle bearing Registration No JK14D/3423 being driven by Birbal, son of Hem Raj, resident of Sulgar Jaganu, District Udhampur, who was identified as SGCT No. 743/IRP-11th Bn.
During checking, police recovered 10 grams heroin from his possession.
Upon this, case vide FIR No 94/2018 under Sections 8, 21 and 22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
The arrest and recovery was made by Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia, SHO Gandhi Nagar assisted by ASI Shesh Pal under the supervision of SDPO City South, Rafiq Manhas, SP City South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
