KATHUA: Summers have arrived with all its simmering heat. Amid this simmering heat, Nirjala Ekadashi is celebrated in Duggar culture with fervour. SHO Billawar Joginder Chib organised a Chabeel (sweet chilled water stall) at Phinter Chowk, in the hilly area of Billawar. The police took the initiative amid pandemic to celebrate Dogra culture and its festivity, as police personals took active participation in the initiative. Many people had water and got relief from the heat. Along with chilled water, food was also served to the general people. Phinter Chowk was not the only place where chilled water stalls were installed, even many places like Billawar, Basohli, Mahanpur chowk, etc, arranges chabeel for the common masses.
