JAMMU: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed resentment against District Administration for not providing ration to a large number of needy and poor people, who are desperately in need of food amidst lockdown as the party has received a number of requests from various quarters in this regard.
Yogesh Sawhney, Former Minister and General Secretary JKPCC, Incharge District President Jammu (U), who is also heading a Control Room at party Headquarters in Jammu, said that a number of people are approaching Congress to intervene into the matter. Congress has repeatedly asked District Administration to take necessary action in this regard besides providing adequate facilities to needy but no initiative has been taken in this regard yet, he said.
“There are reports of many doctors and paramedical staff, working actively to treat corona positive patients, getting infected due to lack of proper facilities and personal protection equipments, which may cause an alarming situation in J&K as well throughout the country,” he said. Sawhney requested UT administration to take proper care of doctors and paramedical staff by providing them proper and adequate safety equipments besides reaching out to needy and poor for providing them food during lockdown.
