JAMMU: A delegation of Village Agriculture Extension Assistants and Rehbar-e-Zirat led by State President Dr. Surinder Radotra in coordination with State Secretary (PDP) Ashok Jogi called on Agriculture Minister, Ghulam Nabi Lone at Circuit House, Jammu and apprised him about various demands and grievances of ReZs.

During the meeting, the issues related to pension benefits and service count of ReZs from 1st April 2007 on the pattern of ReTs was discussed. The discussion was also focused upon the up-gradation of designation and pay scale from VAEA (Rs 9,300-4,200-34,800) to Junior AEO (Rs 9,300-4,280-34,800) due to similar nature of job profile and technical education.

After giving patient hearing, the Agriculture Minister Ghulam Nabi Lone assured full support for the cause of the matter and also assured that those who have completed their tenure of 84 months with continuous stipendiary benefits will be regularised as per Cabinet decision.
