JAMMU: Chairman, State Gurdwara Prabandhak Board (SGPB), Tarlochan Singh Wazir and District Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (DGPC) on Friday condemned the shameful act, wherein daughter of a Sikh priest was forcibly converted to Islam in Lahore, Nankana Sahib.
While addressing a press conference here on Friday, Wazir, on behalf of entire Sikh community, expressed resentment on aforesaid act of fundamentalist elements in Pakistan, for forcibly converting and marrying a minority Sikh girl in Nankana Sahib. He called upon the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan to take stern action against culprits.
Wazir further appealed to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to raise the matter at the international level for exposing double standards of Pakistan and repeated acts of human rights violation against minorities in Pakistan.
