JAMMU: Amidst scare of pandemic COVID-19 outbreak and ongoing lockdown, when everybody is cautious about its well-being, security personnel, as frontline warriors, are performing their duties 24X7 to protect people from deadly coronavirus besides helping poor and destitute without caring for their own lives.
In this regard, a police team led by Inspector Rajeshwar Slathia, SHO City Police Station, found an old-aged person in an injured condition on roadside. His leg was in a deplorable condition, with grave wounds and maggots. Due to his poor financial condition, he was unable to get proper treatment.
To provide immediate relief to ailing soul, the Police officer asked personnel to shift the old man to hospital and provided him all necessary medicines besides assuring him complete treatment, thereby setting an example of compassion and humanity for others to follow during present lockdown.
