JAMMU: On the directions of Commissioner JMC, Kiran Wattal, Municipal Veterinary Officer and In-charge Zone Officer II (Sanitation Wing), Dr. Zaffar Iqbal organised an awareness camp at Guru Ravi Dass Temple Dhok Paloura Jammu (Ward No.60) to spread awareness about the bad effects of using polythene, smoking, as well as to educate the people to not throw the garbage in every nook and corner.

The vehicle launched exclusively by the JMC to educate for making Jammu clean and green was also used there to make people aware about ills of polythene, littering and smoking at public places. The camp was organised by the JMC during the celebrations of Guru Ravi Dass Birthday and a large number of devotees who were present in the temple premises were sensitized about the importance of shunning polythene and littering.

Dr. Hans Raj, President of the temple committee, expressed gratitude to the Municipal Commissioner Kiran Wattal for providing healthy sanitation / drinking water facilities for the devotees. He assured full cooperation to the Municipal authorities in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
