BHADARWAH: Police on Monday arrested three bootleggers and recovered 153 bottles of whisky from their possession.
According to a report, after receiving an information that a person namely Kuldeep Singh son of Tirath Lal resident of Drafda tehsil Bhalla Doda is carrying illegally liquor in a plastic bag near Domail, a party of Police Station Bhadarwah established a Naka at Domail Bhadarwah. The person who was carrying a bag on seeing police tried to fled but was apprehended and during checking, police recovered recovered 52 bottles of Desi whisky (180 ml each) from the bag.
He was arrested and a case vide FIR No.165/2018 under section 48 (A) Excise Act was registered against him at Police Station Bhadarwah.
Meanwhile, another person namely Sanjeet singh son of Mool Raj resident of Bharoi Sartingal Bhadarwah was arrested, who was carrying illicit liquor in a bag near new Bus Stand. During checking Police recovered 50 bottles of Illicit liquor (180 ml each). Police has registered a case FIR No 166/2018 Under section 48-A Excise Act at Police Station Bhadarwah.
In another information, a person namely Vikram Singh son of Gardarm Singh resident of Katyara Bhadarwah was arrested who was carrying 51 bottles of desi whisky (180 ml each) by a police party from Police Station Bhadarwah near Naka at College Link Road Near College Bridge Bhadarwah.
A case vide FIR No 167/2018 under section 48-A Excise Act was registered in Police Station Bhadarwah. The arrests and recoveries were made by three police parties of PS Bhadarwah led by SHO Bhadarwah Muneer Khan , SI Ravinder Singh and SI Abdul Latief under the supervision of SDPO Bhadarwah Aadil Rishu and Additional SP Bhadarwah Rajinder Singh.
