JAMMU: Welcoming statement of BJP National General Secretary, Ram Madhav that it is time to restore 4G internet services in J&K, the Chairman of Team Mask Force, Vijay Sharma appreciated Madhav’s concern for residents and youth of J&K UT and urged the administration for restoring 4G Internet services in J&K at the earliest. In a press statement issued here on Monday, Sharma said, “Statement of BJP’s National General Secretary came at a time, when two meetings of the Committee, constituted by Apex Court for looking into the matter in view of lives and security of J&K people, have already been convened. It seems as if some signal must have been given to BJP National General Secretary in this regard.” Sharma further said that J&K is suffering without 4G internet services for last more than nine months. “J&K youth are facing a lot of hardships due to lack of high-speed mobile internet. Media persons of J&K are facing great difficulties while performing their work due to slow internet speed. The condition further worsened due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, when all educational institutions were closed and teaching process shifted to online mode,” Sharma added.
Sharma further said that from last more than 9 months, J&K people are paying for 4G network to all telecom companies and receiving only 2G services, without any fault. The TMF Chairman appealed to the LG’s administration for ordering restoration of 4G mobile internet services in J&K at the earliest for addressing grievance of people.
