JAMMU: Eleven people shortlisted by 92.7 Big FM through an on-air contest named ‘Big Cricket Expert’ appeared for the final selection in a special event organised at KC Sports Club, here on Wednesday.

RJ Sarang of 92.7 Big FM was the host of the show. Vikrant Sharma, Programming Head of 92.7 Big FM, also graced the occasion.

All the 11 contestants faced stiff competition while answering the questions posed to them by the host for the final selection.

Eventually, Vivek Singh emerged winner and thereby qualified to represent Jammu in the North Zone part of the All India level competition. He will compete with other contestants from the North Zone for a chance to watch the finals of the ICC World Cup 2015 live in Australia and New Zealand.

Surinder Singh Bhogal, former member of India ‘A’ Cricket team was also present on the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

While interacting with the young students of Yuvraj Singh Centre of Excellence (YSCE) at the Club, he shared with them his experiences as an international cricket player and encouraged them to play the game with commitment and dedication. He also expressed his sense of elation at the availability of world class sporting and fitness facilities at KC Sports Club and was especially impressed with the vast well-lit indoor Cricket Hall in which the event was organized by 92.7 Big FM.
