LEH: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC Leh, Gyal P Wangyal in presence of Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Leh, Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Friday laid foundation stone of a multi-level car parking near Moti-Market Leh. The six-storey parking, coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 27 crore under AMRUT, will have parking space for 238 cars.
Speaking on the occasion, CEC said that the multi-level car parking will play a vital role in decongestion of vehicular traffic in Leh besides providing a convenient driving ambience for general people. He, in view of congested traffic scenario in city, urged PWD to complete parking at the earliest for convenience of people.
Additional District Development Commissioner Leh, Moses Kunzang; Chief Engineer PWD, Angorana besides a number of engineers and district officers were also present on the occasion.
Later, CEC and DC, along with a team of engineers, inspected the progress on Balkhang-Pologround link road, which would be completed soon to facilitate people living in town.
