JAMMU: Extending support to fight against coronavirus, a number of youngsters donated their savings to Sewa Bharti, an organisation which is in forefront to help poor and needy in this hour of crisis.
On Saturday, Rudra Grover, resident of Greater Kailash Jammu donated more than Rs 2,000 towards Sewa Barti whereas Swaymsevaks of Veer Savarkar Vidyarthi Shakha, Prakash Nagar donated Rs 2,500.
Mahanagar Sangchalak Surinder Mohan Gupta thanked donors for their help towards mankind.
Speaking on the occasion, Rudra said, “I came to know that Sewa Bharti is doing a yeoman’s job by helping poor and needy by providing them ration, eatables, masks and sanitising lanes of city and outskirts. I too felt that I should come forward and donate some thing for needy people.”
Veer Savarkar Vidyarthi Shakha, Prakash Nagar, which is also in forefront is distributing relief material, which is being provided by Seva Bharti also donated cash. All the donors of Veer Savarkar Shakha are students below age of 15 years. This cash will be utilised for purchasing raw material for making masks for general public.
It is pertinent to mention that Sewa Bharti Sankat Mochan Dal has been distributing relief material from last 17 days among poor and needy, who lost their jobs due to countrywide lockdown, enforced to combat coronavirus.
